Shockingly, they are among the most common passwords that end users choose in 2021. No, these are not exercises for people who are brand new to typing. Remember, just about any maintenance that a real computer needs, a virtual computer also needs (hey, did you put Anti-virus protection on that virtual machine?).ġ23456. You can access Window Disk Defragmenter by going to My Computer, right-clicking on C:, click on Properties, click on the Tools tab, and click Defragment now. Periodically, you should use a program like Diskkeeper, PerfectDisk, or Windows Disk Defragmenter.
The time that it takes for a disk to become fragmented depends on what data is being added to and removed from the virtual machine hard drive. Just like any other operating system, over time, a disk will become fragmented.

Inside the VMware management interface, once the virtual machine is booted, go to VM -> Install VMware Tools, like this: 9. Finally, you can cut and paste between operating systems.
No longer do you have to press Ctrl-Alt to ext the guest operating system. Next, the mouse between the host and guest are now synchronized. This also increases graphics performance on the virtual machine. First off, you can now have SVGA resolution instead of just standard VGA. When you load the VMware tools for Windows or Linux, you get a number of benefits. Note that these 10 ways are in no particular order. In this article, you will be given 10 ways to increase performance on your VMware server. You need to get every ounce of performance you can out of your system. Because you are running multiple operating systems on a single server, you can imagine that the performance of that host system will be pushed to the maximum. The default options can be found by clicking the apple icon at the top left and select “About this Mac.” The second tab has your display resolutions. With VMware Server, you run virtual guest operating systems inside a host operating system. Not sure what your screen resolutions are? The display settings only deal with default or “scaled” resolutions. I was happy to be able to use some resolutions that matched my MacBook Pro display, or larger 24” monitor, especially when going into full screen mode. Without having the SVGA driver, you won’t get the added bonus of “dynamically resizing” your desktop window and having the resolution auto adjust.

The trick is to simply not use the VMWare Fusion video driver at all. After a little tweaking and testing, I’ve found a trick that works. Unfortunately the typical “dynamic sizing” video behavior isn’t working and going to full screen mode doesn’t help either. I’ve been experiencing Windows 10 using VMWare Fusion. I’m also quite giddy for the day I can say “Hey Cortana! Open Visual Studio” and BAM there it is.
I think they’ve done a fabulous job at bridging the gap between the “traditional desktop” and the “metro interface” (the “convergence” thing). I’ve really been enjoying Windows 10, even while in the Technical Preview mode.
